Gleneagles is truly the home of golf in Scotland and one of the country’s top golf resorts. Over the years, Gleneagles has hosted a number of major golf tournaments, the most notable being the 2014 Ryder Cup, which was played on the PGA Centenary Course. Gleneagles also hosted the 2019 Solheim Cup, which is undoubtedly the biggest event in women’s golf, and means we are the only venue in Europe to have hosted both these events.
For those interested in playing golf on some of Scotland’s best courses, golf at Gleneagles is available all year round and open to hotel guests as well as visitors. If you’re interested in joining as a member, please see our golf membership page.
The PGA National Golf Academy
The Golf Academy was established in 1994, and at that time led the golf coaching revolution within the UK, providing a specific location where one could learn all elements of the game. In 2010 The PGA® selected Gleneagles as the venue for The PGA National Golf Academy for Scotland and saw golf coaching revolutionised once more.
