Your children will be amazed by the vast array of activities on offer throughout the Gleneagles estate. From mountain biking, Argocat driving, falconry and tennis to our fabulous gundog school, there’s a huge choice of games, sports and outdoor pursuits to keep them engaged and enthralled.
Even when the weather leaves a little to be desired, there’s no shortage of fun indoor activities to choose from, whether it’s swimming in the Family Pool, visiting Little Glen or – for older children and teenagers – playing computer games, playing pool or just hanging out in The Den.
With all this on their doorstep, your young ones are sure to work up a healthy appetite. Dining together as a family is one of the great joys of going on holiday, which is why at Gleneagles you’ll find a special children’s menu that can be eaten in any restaurant throughout the estate.
Here are just a few of the special activities that make this glorious playground a uniquely family-friendly destination…

0 to 2 year-olds
Even our youngest guests have plenty to keep them content here at Gleneagles. You could take baby for a swim in our relaxing family pool in The Health Club or visit Little Glen, which is located in Braid's House and open daily.
Little Glen is a magical land, full of toys, games, costumes and castles, where younger children will enjoy hours of fun. A large selection of toys and games is available from 9:30am to 5pm* in Littel Glen under the expert supervision of friendly and qualified staff.
Activities and facilities on offer in Little Glen for babies and toddlers include:
- Hand and foot print painting session
- Explore our basket of Heuristic toys
- Sandpit and water play
- A wide selection of toys for toddlers
- Kitchen amenities
*Please note that the first two hours in Little Glen are complimentary but cannot be booked in advance and are subject to availability on the day. Little Glen can be booked in advance for a maximum of 4 hours per child, at a charge of £10 per hour. This is subject to availability at time of booking.
Please note that Little Glen is registered for the care of children 2 and upwards. Children if under 2 years of age are welcome to use the facility however they must be fully supervised at all times by a parent or sitter (over 16).
3 to 5 year-olds
Our creative and imaginative staff-members are on hand to help your children discover the full choice of free play and planned seasonal activities available for little ones aged 3-5 in Little Glen. This includes:
- Sandpit and water play
- A wide selection of toys, including dinosaurs, dolls house, house corner and train set
- Dress-up box of costumes including fairies, pirates and other favourites
- Craft area with sun catchers, polystyrene planes, Hama beads and much more
When the urge to explore takes over, our fully qualified playroom staff will organise exciting adventures that take your young ones out into the wilds of the Gleneagles estate, perhaps for a picnic, pond-dipping or bug-hunting.

Enjoy free swimming at the Children’s Pool.
Enjoy a family bike ride around Gleneagles’ picturesque cycling trails. Cycle hire starts from £5 per bike, with child seats, children's bikes and stabilisers available on request.
Have fun on the pitch ‘n’ putt course adjacent to the hotel or book a lesson with one of our qualified golf pros. Coaching takes place on beautiful greens, with clubs available to suit children of all heights.
Little ones will adore our Shetland ponies at the Equestrian School. They can groom the ponies and learn to ride with expert tuition from our instructors.

6 to 12 year-olds & teenagers
When it comes to exciting outdoor pursuits for older children to experience, Gleneagles is hard to beat. Whether it’s falconry, archery, driving an Argocat or training a gundog, they’ll have plenty to tell their friends about when they get home.
Even if wintry weather makes staying indoors the only option, young adults certainly won’t get bored. With its giant beanbags and comfy leather sofas, The Den is a great place to kick back and relax in. Open until 10pm every day, this vibrant and fun area, specially designed for teenagers, is full of music, games and interactive elements to help keep older children entertained.
