While our designers are busy putting finishing touches to our new-look Strathearn restaurant in time for the big relaunch on 1 May, our chefs are busy working their magic on a brand new menu!
Our famous breakfast is having a sleek makeover, with the restaurant’s new breakfast servery, The Scullery, and our ‘Live Kitchen’ offering many more ‘naughty and nice’ options to set you up for a day of adventures.
Porridge – one of Scotland’s most famous exports – will be given top billing as an unmissable part of breakfast. It has a long history at Gleneagles – with a former chef having been crowned winner of the prestigious Golden Spurtle World Porridge Championships. Made with oats that are milled to our exact specification for the perfect texture, the team will offer a healthy porridge from the à la carte menu, as well as a rich and indulgent version in The Scullery, based on the award-winning recipe. A range of delicious toppings will be available for guests to personalise their porridge to perfection.
A new honey station will feature local honeys sourced from hives based in the lush, unpolluted Perthshire countryside, including one harvested from a farm just seven miles from the hotel. The bees feed on the distinctive flavours of Perthshire’s seasonal flora, creating delicious heather, clover, rapeseed and blended varieties. Additional honey ‘specials’, will be changed seasonally and infused with exciting flavours, including plants harvested from Gleneagles’ grounds.
