The Complete Country Pursuits Experience
At the Gleneagles® Hotel, guests can choose from a range of traditional and modern country pursuits. Qualified professional instructors combine the highest quality tuition with matchless entertainment to provide guests at all levels of ability with the complete country pursuits experience.
The Country Pursuits Experience is available to small or large groups. Combining a fun clay target shooting competition, ‘hands on’ falconry and 4x4 off road driving in the picturesque countryside surrounding Gleneagles, this programme is perfect entertainment for a corporate party.
All the activities are taught by highly experienced professional instructors and are designed to enable groups of up to 150 achieve a satisfying ‘hands on’ experience in the disciplines with a competitive element to offer a team building option.
The Country Pursuits Experience Itinerary:
1 ½ hrs Clay Target Shooting
30 target fun competition with instruction throughout, at the world class facilities provided by The Gleneagles Jackie Stewart Shooting and Fishing School.
1 ½ hrs Falconry
A demonstration at the British School of Falconry, including the flight of an eagle, followed by the flying of a falcon stooping to a lure and ‘hands on’ instruction for guests with Harris hawks. Optional fun multiple-choice competition to follow.
1 ½ hrs Off Road Driving
Tuition on a purpose-built off road driving course in Land Rovers. Guests will be taught four wheel drive techniques including hill climbs, controlled descents in forward and reverse gears, driving through water splashes and vehicle handling over rough or wet ground. The mastery of each skill can be assessed and scored competitively.
Please note Off Road Driving is based on four persons per vehicle. There is a supplement of £75 for each empty seat.
