Falconry
The ancient sport of kings is available to guests through the internationally renowned British School of Falconry at Gleneagles.
Falconry for groups can include:
Flying demonstration with an eagle and a falcon giving spectacular displays of aerial ability and grace, 1½ hrs falconry demonstration with hands on experience £60 per person
Falconry team-challenge event
Half Day’s hawking on neighbouring sporting estates 2½ hrs £120 per person
Golden Eagle Appearance at evening event, ½hr £395
Alternative fun with The British School of Falconry from £69 per person
Pull the bunny
Team members take turns to run as fast as possible pulling a rabbit lure, which the hawks chase down a staked course.
Track it down
Teams are taught how to track a hawk with radio receiving equipment and timed in their attempts to find a hawk transmitter.
Are you equipped?
Teams are timed against the clock at the task of fitting a dummy hawk with traditional falconry equipment and tying it to a perch with the ‘falconer’s knot’.
