The Earl and Countess of Strathearn

On Friday 29th April, like most of the country we were fully caught up in the buzz of the Royal Wedding - who could resist a real life fairytale?  The dress, the uniforms, the guests and the music all created a truly magical day and for all of us.

At The Gleneagles Hotel the wedding held a special significance as William and Kate are taking on the Scottish titles of Earl and Countess of Strathearn.  The Gleneagles Hotel is situated within the Strathearn area which runs from the central lowlands to the highlands and our fine dining restaurant is actually named after the area.  The Strathearn is a two rosette award winning restaurant that makes the most of our wonderful Scottish produce. 

Here at Gleneagles we love helping people organise and celebrate special occasions so whether you are planning a wedding to rival William and Kate's or a slightly smaller celebration we would love to help; we can arrange music, transport, menus or even a professional photographer.  We have so many treasured memories of special occasions held in the hotel, it would be an honour to help you plan your next special event. 

We are genuinely thrilled that William and Kate have been given these titles and will therefore always be associated with an area we are obviously very fond of.  We hope you will all come and visit us and get to know the area of Strathearn as it has a great deal to offer and then when you have finished exploring you can come and join us in The Strathearn for a wonderful meal and a wee taster of some of the world rarest whiskies…we can toast the Earl and Countess of Strathearn.
