A Two-Michelin-Star Experience
Having opened in 2001, this long-standing homage to the late Andrew Fairlie was the first and only restaurant in Scotland to hold two Michelin stars when it was awarded the accolade in 2006.
The team’s thoughtful service coupled with head chef Stephen McLaughlin’s French-leaning cookery makes this an utterly indulgent experience. Despite its standing, the atmosphere is relaxed and warm, with guests invited to share special moments over the very finest cookery. It’s a place to celebrate life’s most wonderful moments with friends old and new.

The Menus
Choose your own perfect combination with the a la carte, or delight in the carefully balanced tasting menu from the team, chosen for its nuanced flow. Whichever you plump for, you can expect exacting dishes made with the very highest quality ingredients gathered from our enviable local larder. The signature home-smoked lobster with lime and herb butter has become one of Scotland’s most celebrated plates thanks to its balance of sweet and smoky notes.
Meet the Team
The long-standing team is at the heart of your Restaurant Andrew Fairlie experience. Head Chef Stephen McLaughlin has held his pivotal roles since the restaurant’s opening in 2001, surrounded by key colleagues who will ensure you are warmly welcomed.
It would only be polite to follow some of the best food in Scotland with some of the best drinks. Our award-winning American bar is steeped in history, with a decadent 1920s interior that makes it all too easy to linger a little longer. Enjoy the finest Champagne, top-shelf whiskies or the team’s wonderfully inventive cocktails.
