Gleneagles: 5 Star luxury Hotel, Spa & Resort

Junior Off Road Driving at Gleneagles

<< Back to Media Information

Junior drivers have a fantastic facility at Gleneagles – their own off road course and mini Land Rovers.

Kids aged from six-twelve years can receive instruction from behind the wheel of Land Rover replicas and test their driving skills over a purpose built course designed to reflect the grown-ups' course.

Under the watchful eye of fully qualified off road instructors your adventurers are taught how to manoeuvre over obstacles such as log piles, rustic bridges, offset logs, sleeping policemen, side tilts and water splashes. Younger children can take a junior driving lesson on paths and trails around the hotel.

The Land Rover replicas have been specially built for Gleneagles and are a quarter of the size of their parent original. The school is the first in the UK to offer junior off road instructions.

ARGOCAT DRIVING

Argos are all-terrain, all-weather, semi-amphibious vehicles. They are synonymous with the management of Highland estates in Scotland, allowing landowners to reach steep, rocky or swampy areas that are otherwise inaccessible.

At Gleneagles, teenagers from 12 years onwards and adults can learn to operate these incredible, eight-wheel-drive, tiller-controlled vehicles on land and in water on a challenging purpose-built course, for the ultimate off road experience.
