Gleneagles' skilled ghillies will share their unrivalled knowledge with novice and experienced anglers who can enjoy their sport on a private salmon beat on the River Tay and two inland lochs on the Gleneagles estate stocked with brown and rainbow trout.

The salmon fishing season in Scotland runs from 15 January - 15 October. Salmon fishing is available from Monday - Saturday but is not permitted in Scotland on Sundays

The Gleneagles Shooting and Fishing School offers fly fishing on the Laich Loch and Wester Greenwells, both within the Gleneagles estate and Strathallan, with expert tuition and practice for guests of all abilities.

The number of rods on both river beats and lochs are strictly limited to ensure maximum enjoyment for guests. However, up to 30 people can be accommodated whilst fly fishing for trout.

Rods and tackle are included in booking fees. The expert services of a dedicated ghillie is provided for all anglers on the River Tay and the lochs.
