GUEST SERVICES
Night Auditor - The successful candidate will be running reports, providing statistics and information for other outlets, support security at night, covering as a fire martial, supporting duty manager at night, newspaper run, wake up calls prior to switchboard opening and general assistance to guests.
FOOD & BEVERAGE
STRATHEARN RESTAURANT
This is Gleneagles' two-rosette award winning restaurant with magnificent views across the estate. The service is stylish and the food is from a classical era. The Strathearn Restaurant has recently achieved an East Scotland Silver Award. This accolade reflects The Strathearn's high standards in terms of food, ambience and service.
The Strathearn Restaurant is the 2AA Rosette classic style restaurant, where fine cuisine matched with the pick of the world's wine cellars is served in a formal setting.
We are looking for Sommelier, who should have a higher wine certificate or similar and an excellent knowledge of fine wine and whisky. Head Waiter, Chef de Rang and Commis Waiter, who have worked in a similar environment, are also required.
DESEO RESTAURANT & BAR
DESEO, a lively and fun "Mediterranean Food Market", offering informal yet delicious dining. Tempting aromas from various food stations change throughout the day, whilst the sense of theatre makes each station an attraction in their own right! Situated adjacent to the spa, pool and leisure area, DESEO is perfect for all the family. Dinner at DESEO means whatever you wish or desire. You can be inspired by choosing from a wide range of seafood and shellfish either grilled on charcoal or baked in salt with wild fennel. The menu covers a range of appetisers, pizzas, pastas or alternative main course dishes, which are all cooked to order or guests can help themselves to the Antipasto Table.
We are currently recruiting for the following positions:-
Waiter - who has excellent customer care and communication skills and have the ability to work in a busy team environment and to work under pressure.
Bar Tender - experienced bar staff with previous experience of making and serving cocktails and ideally knowledge of wines and barista experience required for busy bar and restaurant.
Host - Previous experience within a reception or restaurant is essential as is an enthusiastic approach to Guest Service. Must have a high standard of personal presentation and excellent interpersonal skills.
DORMY CLUBHOUSE
The DORMY is a popular venue for the many golfing guests that visit our championship courses. Traditional golfers' fayre is served with real ales and great lagers served in the bar.
Within this highly vibrant and active environment we are looking to appoint a new Supervisor to support the management team in maintaining the quality service standards our guests have come to enjoy. Energy, an ability to communicate positively at all levels and attention to detail combined with previous experience in a similar environment are essential for success.
THE BAR
The Bar is a hive of activity all day serving morning coffees, snack lunches and afternoon teas and comes alive in the evening for pre-dinner cocktails and post dinner drinks. Positions for Waiter with previous experience of making and serving cocktails and ideally a knowledge of malt whiskies required for busy cocktail bar.
PRIVATE DINING
Senior Head Waiter - to assist and support the Private Dining Management Team in managing and training employees within the Restaurant to set and maintain standards of service which constantly meet and exceed guest expectations and achieving all budgetary measurements in all aspects of the Food & Beverage operation.
THE KITCHEN
Gleneagles Culinary Arts Brigade now has several rare opportunities to join the team for the first time in over eighteen months.
Vacancies at Chef de Partie and Commis Chef levels across the Resort are available.
The Strathearn Kitchen showcases the very best of Scottish Produce in the 2AA Rosette Strathearn Restaurant.
The Dormy Clubhouse Kitchen offers our golfing guests more traditional fayre while continuing to maintain exacting culinary standards.
The Deseo Restaurant provides a broad selection of Mediterranean influenced cuisine which has proved popular with resort guests, club members and non resident diners. The brigade team members within DESEO have the opportunity to showcase their skills to the public both within the open kitchen environment and at the food display counters in the food hall emporium that are unique features of this facility.
Chef de Parties should have ideally gained experience within Fine Dining at 2AA Rosette standard if they have a desire to work within the Strathearn team, however all suitably skilled and experienced candidates will be provided with the opportunity to progress their career to Fine Dining level if they wish to do so.
Commis vacancies are ideally suited for people with a passion/flair for continental style cuisine.
Previous experience in a minimum 4 star establishment is preferred, although talented graduates with a commitment to a long term career in the culinary arts will also be considered.
HOUSEKEEPING
Floor Supervisors - must have previous experience in a minimum 4* establishment.
Room Attendants - Housekeeping team have vacancies for room attendants to clean and service guest rooms to a 5* standard.
GLENMOR - SEASONAL OWNERSHIP PROPERTIES
House Attendants - vacancies for house attendants to clean and service the houses at the Glenmor Seasonal Ownership Village to a 5* standard.
Housekeeping Supervisor - must have previous experience in a minimum 4* environment.
Concierge (Maternity Cover) - This critical role is essential for ensuring we deliver a friendly and efficient service to all Owners and their guests at point of their arrival and departure at the prestigious Glenmor Seasonal Ownership village. Primarily responsible for dealing with all aspects of check in and out procedures, general queries, billing enquiries and front of house duties, Concierge are a key point of contact throughout the Owners and their guests Gleneagles Experience. Previous experience in a similar high quality customer driven environment is required for success in this role, as are excellent communication skills and an enthusiastic approach to customer service.
Maintenance Assistant - to ensure all Homes and The Tryst are regularly checked for all aspects of maintenance and actions are taken to remedy any defects for the comfort and safety of Glenmor Owners and their guests.
CLUB LEISURE
Fitness Instructor - A position has arisen for a Fitness Insturctor who should have the required teaching qualifications and have experience working within a gym. The ideal candidate must maintain high standards and provide customer satisfaction, thus enabling maximum member and guest enjoyment.
GARDENS
We are currently looking for a Gardner (F/T) to assist the leading Gardner in ensuring that gardens and grounds are maintained to the highest standards. A Seasonal Gardner is also required from April through to the end of September.
