Our Events Team
Gleneagles has always had a vision to provide the highest quality of service. It is the enthusiasm, pride, passion and commitment of our dedicated staff that brings the hotel to life and ensures that our guests have the best possible experiences.
The Events team currently has over 61 years of combined experience! Many members of the team have been part of the Gleneagles community for several years, including Andrew Thomson.

Andrew Thomson, Event Services Manager
Andrew joined the Resort Sales team in June 2000. He developed a talent for selling events and made the move to the Events team in November 2003 as a Co-ordinator. Since then, Andrew has had a number of promotions. In his current position as Event Services Manager, Andrew is responsible for mentoring and managing the Events team of 12. Andrew outlines his career highlights and achievements below:
• Achieved Executive Certificate in Event Management from Napier University in 2006, supported by Gleneagles.
• Worked on the planning of the G8 summit in 2005 and personally looked after the Japanese Prime Minister and Delegation.
• Responsible for developing the Gleneagles ‘anything is possible’ approach to events, which has included building ice rinks on the front lawn, working with world famous singers in the Ballroom and transforming the hotel into a medieval castle!
