Day One – Discovering Gleneagles

A private chauffeur or a luxury coach transfer from Glasgow or Edinburgh airport will ensure your guests arrive at Gleneagles in comfort.

Guests receive a warm Scottish welcome from the Gleneagles’ resident Piper and a private check-in with mid-morning refreshments.

There will be time to relax and explore the grounds before taking afternoon tea in the bar or a private room, with a talk on Gleneagles and its history.

Watch a lively gundog demonstration on the Gleneagles lawns. See how gundogs work in the field, learn about the popular breeds and their history, and then get hands-on experience-from basic obedience commands to sending a dog for a retrieve.

A taste of Scotland – enjoy a sumptuous fresh buffet dinner with the very best of Scottish seafood, roast meats and desserts, accompanied by wines and whiskies, served in a private dining room.

Evening at the Golf Academy – in preparation for a round the following morning, our golf professionals will analyse the groups’ swing using the latest computer analysis equipment and give extra tips about the Gleneagles courses. For non-golfers, this session will be a fun introduction to the game.
Day Two – A Day to Remember
The day begins with a full Scottish breakfast before guests take part in one of the following activities:

Golf – play a round on one of the three championship courses- the 6,471 yard King’s Course, the 5,969 yard Queen’s Course or the PGA Centenary Course with five teeing areas at each hole – from a challenging 6.815 yards down to an approachable 5,322. Or for Guests just starting out, the nine-hole pare three Wee Course might be more fun.

For an indulgent alternative, the day can be spent at The Spa. Relax before your treatment in the heat experiences area, before enjoying ESPA facials and massages. After a bento box superfood lunch at Deseo at The Spa, guests will leave feeling rejuvenated and radiant.

Trout fishing – an unforgettable day spent out by the loch with a ghillie, who will share valuable advise on the best flies and fishing strategies, coupled with some wry local humour.

Rob Roy Country Tour – gain a special insight into the life of this famous Scottish folk hero, his loved ones, friends and foes. Take in the outstanding scenery, including Bonnie Strathyre, Gen Ore and the shores of Loch Earn.

In preparation for the evening’s excursion, learn the basics of Scottish country dancing, whilst being fitted with kilts.

The evening is spent at Stirling Castle, a gala or medieval banquet is followed by a traditional Scottish ceildh in this stunning setting.
Day Three – Outdoor Country Pursuits and Sumptuous Food

A full Scottish breakfast is followed by a programme of outdoor activities. Guests are divided into small groups to rotate around a selection of three activities: horse-drawn carriage driving, falconry demonstration and off-road driving.

The party can share their experiences with each other as they meet up again for lunch.

An afternoon of shooting. Guests will receive expert tuition on the sporting clay range, which offers twelve different target disciplines. They can also test their aim and coordination practising air rifle shooting and the traditional sport of archery using a recurve bow.

Before dinner, visit Gleneagles’ fully equipped gym or relax in the leisure pool and hot tub. Or if guests want to dress up for the evening ahead, a visit to the Hair Salon or Barber Shop to ensure they look their best.

Dinner – a choice of four restaurants – the grand Strathearn for top quality Scottish cuisine, the intimate Michelin starred Andrew Fairlie. Deseo for taste of the Mediterranean, or the relaxed surroundings of The Dormy for filling, hearty fare overlooking the King’s Course.
Day Four – Traditional Highland Games and Gala Dinner

Breakfast seminar – breakfast will be served in a private room, available to educate and entertain. Your dedicated event manager can arrange inspiring presenters to give talks on a rand of themes – from Jocobite soldier talking on the history of Scotland, to CEO’s and Government Ministers.

Highland Games – following the opening ceremony, enjoy demonstrations by the athletes with a few guests participating, or a competition involving everyone. Traditional events include tossing the caber, throwing the 5lb Scots hammer, haggis hurling and the Highland Fling

Picnic lunch- a delicious picnic spread can be served on the lawn during the Games. Enjoy the finest savouries and sweet treats whilst soaking up the atmosphere.

Gala cocktails and dinner – a roaring Twenties theme is reflected in every detail, from the table décor to the menu, cocktails and music. As dinner ends, guests are invited outside to enjoy the traditional ‘Beating Retreat’ by Gleneagles Pipe Band.
Day Five – Departures and Cultural Visits

A light breakfast can be taken at leisure before the group check out of their rooms.

Guests continue relaxing and enjoying all that Gleneagles has to offer during the course of the day – pre-book a round of golf, enjoy a different spa treatment or make the most of the swimming pools and leisure facilities.

If you are keen to explore the wild side of Scotland, let our off road instructors drive you on a Scenic Safari. Park your binoculars and try to be the first to spot a golden eagle, grouse, red deer or blue hare. These personally tailored tours take you to spectacular, remote surroundings where you can enjoy a picnic lunch and a glass of champagne in splendid isolation.

Alternatively, take a chauffeur driven tour to nearby whisky distilleries or the thriving cultural cities of Edinburgh or Glasgow for some excellent shopping and sightseeing. Glasgow has often been called Scotland’s style capital – visit the famous Burrell Collection, be inspired by the interiors at Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s House for an Art Lover and take afternoon tea at the Willow Tea Rooms. In Edinburgh, absorb the sights and ambience of the Royal Miles and tour the new Scottish Parliament building and the most famous Scottish castle.
