An Evening with Michael and William Whitaker
Unforeseen changes to the Michael & William Whitaker Event
Order of Event
Due to the flight restrictions in place across Europe, we have been advised by Michael Whitaker's management team that Michael will be unable to attend the event on Wednesday 21st April.
In the spirit that the show must go on, we are delighted to announce that Geoff Billington, the renowned Great British Showjumper, will now join William Whitaker & Corinne Bracken for the evening. We are very grateful to Geoff for standing in for his international team mate at such short notice and can guarantee a show that will not disappoint!!

Gleneagles Equestrian School is delighted to be hosting an evening with medal winning show jumpers Michael and William Whitaker on Wednesday 21st April 2010. The Whitaker uncle and nephew duo have a strong heritage in show jumping.
Michael became the youngest ever winner of the famous Hickstead Derby at the age of 20 in 1980. In 1999 Michael was the highest placed British rider in the World Cup Final finishing 5th overall, and has been an Olympic Games silver medallist in 1984.
Michael’s nephew William has achieved an amazing record through his pony and young riders’ years, from a silver medal at the Pony European Championships to collecting a Junior European Championship Gold in 2007 and finishing his young riders’ reign by taking the Bronze medal in 2008. In 2009 alone he managed to capture nearly every major puissance title in the UK. With such exciting performance results, William looks set to be riding high towards the 2012 Olympics.
