12 Shooting Disciplines
There are 12 clay pigeon shooting disciplines;
1. Crossing Pigeon:
Targets thrown from the left and right, to be shot as crossing birds. Fully adjustable and variable.
Distance 10 - 40 yards
2. Snipe:
Medium angle, going away target, exits trap beside shooter.
Distance 10 - 40 yards
3. Driven Grouse:
Single Target, variable angles, delivered in the classic incoming style, fast and hard.
Distance 5 - 30 yards
4. Driven Partridge:
Incoming 'driven' target, variable angles, adjustable.
Distance 20 - 40 yards
5. Gleneagles' Pheasant:
40 ft high tower. Throws driven incoming pairs of targets. Can be shot also as a 'flush' team event with up to four per team with loaders.
Distance 10 - 40 yards
6. King's Pheasant:
100 ft high tower. Throws single or pairs of classic driven pheasants, each trap being fully adjustable for height, angle and elevation. The stand is suitable for testing flushes for the individual or for teams up to four in number.
Distance 30 - 60 yards
7. Queen's Pheasant:
50 ft high tower. Throwing incoming driven pairs of targets, a superb training tower for pheasant shooting. Not as demanding as the King's, but great fun. Ideal for training for the real thing. Simulated 'ground game' crossing from right to left. Variable speed with infuriating hop.

8. Springing Teal:
Rapidly rising target taken as it goes away.
Distance 20 - 40 yards
9. Bolting Rabbit:
Simulated ground game crossing from right to left. Variable speed with infuriating hop.
10. Woodcock:
Looping, crossing target with erratic flight.
Distance 20 - 40 yards
Ground game crossing from left to right, fast testing target.
Distance 30 - 35 yards
11. Running Hare:
Ground game crossing from left to right, fast testing target.
Distance 30 - 35 yards
12. Grouse Butts:
Three traditional grouse butts set slightly below ground level amongst the heather. Natural and realistic layout receiving an array of low, fast driven targets. Can be shot independently or in teams of three with loaders. Ideal for practice prior to the real thing.
Distance 5 - 50 yards
Targets are mounted on the spectacular 30 ft, 50 ft and 100 ft towers which provides the altitude for the higher flying targets.
All traps are remote controlled by the instructors and are fully-automated, adjustable and magazine loaded to ensure continuous and consistent service.
