Falconry
Falconry is one of the oldest and most aristocratic sports and has long been regarded as the Sport of Kings, and the falcon has been the symbol of high birth and luxury. Emma and Steve Ford opened The British School of Falconry in 1982; it was the first dedicated falconry school in the world, the School became established at Gleneagles in 1992.
At Gleneagles, professional falconers provide instruction to meet every level of experience and involvement. Basic techniques are taught during introductory falconry lessons and skills can be developed further during sessions when guests can fly birds of prey at game, on sporting ground adjoining the Gleneagles estate.
