Introduction to Polo
 

This Summer, learn the exciting sport of Polo at Gleneagles. A fantastic opportunity to learn the basic skills of this sport of kings, with no requirement for any previous equestrian experience.

10.00am – 12.00pm

Thom Bell, 4 handicapper and Scottish Polo team member, will introduce you to the sport of Polo.  Capable of dealing with all levels of experience, Thom will ensure that, in no time at all, you are hitting the ball with the speed and accuracy required to score the winning goal.  Beginning on the back of a wooden horse you will develop the skill of working with the stick, eye to ball co-ordination and posture.  Then, astride one of Thom’s well trained polo ponies, you will put your training into practice before finishing with a short game to determine who the polo champions are.

Duration:   2 hours per session
Height: Minimum height restriction of 1.5m. Great activity for both adults and children, male or female.
Numbers:   Introduction to Polo: Minimum of 4 people - maximum of 8 people
Cost: £65 per person, per session
Equipment required: No loose clothing (jeans recommended) with all other equipment included.
Riding experience: No riding experience is required, but guests should be comfortable with the thought of riding a horse.
